179 lbs.
down 18 lbs. from start
39 lbs. to my goal
Hello! It's been a few days.. I'm in the 170s! Dropping a full ten pounds always gives me some more motivation to keep going! Last year when I lost weight, I got down to 174 and quit. So now I have to keep going! When the scales says 169, I'm gonna jump for joy! I can't even remember the last time it said that. Anyway, I've been doing really good this week I think. I have been working nights the last week so my schedule has been really weird. But in a way, I think it's helped, because it limits my snacking in the evenings which is usually my problem. Hopefully when I switch back to days I can continue to do well. So I've tried a few of those Lean Cuisines or Smart Ones.. most of them haven't wowed me so far. The chicken fettucini wasn't bad. I still have a few more to try.
I worked out with my friend Ashley on Wednesday. We did a 5 minute warm up of cardio and then did mostly weights after that. Well, it's Friday.. and I'm still feelin it! Today I am actually more sore than I was yesterday. My calves are the worst. I love being sore after a workout, but I hate when I'm so sore that it prevents me from continuing to work out. I seriously can barely walk. So no workout for me today. But hopefully I'll be mostly recovered by tomorrow so I can do Zumba this weekend.
Also, my friend Jenny convinced me to sign up for this thing called DietBet. You bet $20 that you will lose 4% of your bodyweight in 28 days. For me, that is 7 pounds. So I have to lose 7 pounds by March 28th. I think it's totally do-able. But I'm going to have to work extra hard. And now my money is on the line! At the end, all the winners(anyone that lose that 4%) will split the pot! It'd be nice to make a little money too! I like that there isn't just one winner like biggest loser. So wish me luck! I guess I don't really need luck.. I just need focus and dedication! Calves, recover quickly so I can get my butt to the gym! lol
See ya!
Melissa
