181 lbs.
down 16 lbs. from start
41 lbs. to my goal

So I still haven't hit the 170s yet.. but I have a feeling it'll happen really soon. I've been stuck at this weight for quite a bit. But I just got back on a consistent workout routine so I'm ready to kick butt! For the next two weeks, I am teaching a new hire training class at work so I am working 2pm-10:30pm Monday through Friday. I would hate working this shift all the time, but it's nice to switch things up. I've accomplished a lot today before work. I got myself to the gym at 9am. I went to the "Drills to Make You Sweat" class. Today, we did circuit training. I've been to the class one other time. I will say, it makes you sweat! I tend to do the low moderation of every single thing we do in that class. Anything that has planks, push ups, or anything similar kills me. I'm absolutely terrible at it. But that's exactly why I made myself go. I can't just not work on those things, because they're hard. I'll never get any better.

Yesterday, I decided to see how fast I could run a mile on the treadmill. Haven't timed myself running in a long time. I did it in about 10 1/2 minutes. And to be honest, that is better than I expected. My goal is to get down to a 9 minute mile! I'll be pretty darn pleased with myself if I can accomplish that.

Also, I signed up for my 2nd 5k for the year over the weekend. I'll be participating in the Graffiti Run in June and the Dirty Girl Mud Run in September! I have always been so scared at just the idea of doing a 5k. I'm still scared, but I can't back out now. I really am not a good runner. But I will be so happy to be able to say that I did it. And I think that both runs will have a fun atmosphere and won't feel so competitive.

I have had a hard time figuring out what to have for lunch at work. It's just hard to eat healthy. I don't like making my lunch. The cafeteria doesn't have too many healthy options, and what they do have is expensive. So over the weekend, I bought a bunch of different Lean Cuisines. Remember, I told you I'm picky so even finding ones that I liked were hard. But I have quite a few to try. Hopefully they are good! They are pretty pricey as well, but if they help me to get healthy and drop that weight, I'll be happy! OK, I have written a book now. I'm outta here!

  1. My favorite Lean Cuisines are the Fiesta Grilled Chicken, the Spinach Artichoke Dip with Pita Bread, and the Mushroom Ravioli. Some of them are just flat out not good, but they're easy and healthy! There are some healthy choice cafe steamers that are pretty tasty too!
